THIS WAS NEVER JUST CLOTHING.

My world began with art.

Spray paint. Graffiti. Calligraphy. The freedom to create something from nothing, break the rules and make something entirely my own.

It started on the streets of Luton, England. I was young, selling T-shirts I'd tagged at Luton Market just so I could buy more spray paint.

Before long, I was completely hooked on the culture. The music, the skateboarding, the late-night train runs. My head was bursting with ideas. I couldn't switch it off. I needed something to satisfy that creative thirst.

That became SELBYS.

I never lost that desire to create. I simply found another canvas.

Fashion gave me the freedom to bring two worlds together. The raw energy of the streets and the elegance of luxury. Beautiful fabrics, bold artwork and the smallest details that make something unforgettable.

I wanted to create clothing with character. Pieces you don't just wear, but make your own. Pieces you're proud to own and reluctant to part with.

Rebellion. Elegance. A world of our own.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF REBELLION.

The more I fell in love with fashion, the more I began to see what the industry was doing to our planet.

Mountains of discarded clothing. Polluted rivers. Oceans carrying the consequences of the throw away world.

And some of the biggest names in luxury destroying perfectly good products simply to protect their exclusivity.

I find it heartbreaking.

It's time to change.

Clothing should be loved, looked after and carry memories.

I want SELBYS to help protect our oceans and marine life, tackle the huge pollution problem and support the selfless people working to restore our world.

Im going to help change the world. One garment at a time.

Collections will come and go. But the world will remain. What state will we leave it in. If I can leave even a small part of it better than I found it, I'll have created something far more valuable than clothing.
